Privacy Policy — Tailgate SMS

This policy explains how we handle information for the Tailgate SMS
program — a daily jobsite-safety text service delivered to skilled-trade technicians
whose employer subscribes on their behalf. Tailgate is a product of Code Carl Software
LLC; see About for how it relates to our other product,
Fishtape.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS
opt-in/consent data with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or
promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in and consent information is used solely to
operate the Tailgate messaging program and is not shared with third parties for any
other purpose.
Information we collect
- Technician contact details — first name and mobile number,
provided by the enrolling business on the Tailgate crew-setup form.
- Consent & opt-in status — the business's consent confirmation,
and whether you replied YES, STOP, or HELP, and when.
- Message delivery records — the safety messages sent to you and
their delivery status, retained for compliance and audit.
- Business owner details — the enrolling owner's business name,
email, and phone, used for account and service notifications.
How we use information
- To deliver the daily safety messages for the trade(s) your employer subscribed to.
- To process opt-in (YES/START), opt-out (STOP), and help (HELP) requests.
- To notify the enrolling business which technicians have opted in (coverage visibility).
- To meet legal, carrier, and TCPA record-keeping obligations.
How we share information
We share message content and your mobile number only with our SMS carrier
(Telnyx) strictly to transmit the messages you have consented
to receive, and with our payment processor (Stripe) for the
business's subscription — technicians never enter payment details. We do not sell your
information. We may disclose information if required by law. As stated above, mobile
opt-in and consent data is never shared with third parties for marketing.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any Tailgate message to cancel immediately. You do
not need to go through your employer.

- Request access to or deletion of your information at the contact address below.
Data retention
We retain message and consent records for as long as needed to operate the service
and to meet compliance obligations, then delete or de-identify them. You may request
deletion at any time.
